A white, immaculate, neutral, innocent Nike Air Force One, like a blank page, a blank canvas, an invitation to create, offered to Amedeo Abello, Artistic Director of Flaneurz.

“My aesthetic universe leans towards minimalism and graphic exploration; I wanted to bring the Air Force Ones to life, boost them with color vitamins, and transform them into chemical candy... Fluorescent, highlighter, to highlight... the Capsule F is a manifesto of joy of living, a rush of strong sensations! A nod to the 80s, the golden age of quad roller skating, to the fluokids, the fluorescent absorbs and re-emits light. The flâneur will be seen, unique in the gaze of others.”

/LIMITED EDITION 

Flaneurz reveals Capsule F on February 22, 2017, in 15 units. A launch party was organized on this occasion in Paris, at the C.O.Q Hotel "Community Of Quality".

Each pair of the capsule is hand-numbered with a marking on the inner eyelet "limited ed," using special sneaker paint, and is accompanied by a collector's ready-to-wear collection (sweatshirt, t-shirt, carry bag).

/PAINTING 

The first step is the most meticulous: the treatment of the leather which allows, among other things, the waterproofing of the shoe. Three layers of fluorescent paint interspersed with drying times of a few hours subtly brighten the Nike Air Force One White. Each part of the sneaker is treated with different additives depending on the material: the "back logo," the "superior scratch logo," the AIR on the midsole, the lining, and the inner leash.

/COUTURE 

During his artist residency in Venice, Amédéo Abello is leading a project called “Post Cards from a ghetto” to elevate the mainstream postcards of the Serenissima. This technique, mastered to highlight forgotten beauty, draws the eye with the DMC Fluo thread, sewn with special curved leather needles. In addition to the stitching, laces are added to ensure a continuity of the Fluo line on the shoe's upper.

/ROLLING CHASSIS

Roll Line, Italian brand, a world leader in the field of figure skating, has made a remarkable entry into the world of roller derby. Roll Line products are the result of many years of research and development and equip the entire range of detachable Flaneurz rollers from the Premium line. The plate is precise and high-performing, ideal for demanding and athletic skating. The responsive wheels have been selected for roller skating on all types of surfaces: indoors as well as outdoors.

/LAUNCH PARTY

A soirée was organized to celebrate the launch of Capsule F in Paris, at the C.O.Q Hotel “Community Of Quality,” a warm and unique place that promotes made in France.

This was an opportunity for the Clique Flaneurz to welcome journalists, bloggers, partners, and to present them with Capsule F.

Amedeo Abello recounted the genesis of this capsule, his approach... He described the different steps to customize each shoe, allowing everyone to realize the meticulousness required to enhance the Nike Air Force One.
