/General Terms and Conditions (GTC)


1. General provision / Scop


 These general terms and conditions of sale apply without restriction or reservation to all online sales offered by FLANEURZ on the website http://www.flaneurz.com/ (hereinafter: the "Site"). https://www.flaneurz.com/

The Site is dedicated, on the one hand, to the sale of separable roller skates composed of a rolling part and a pair of clip-on shoes, together or separately, as well as accessories and ready-to-wear items (hereinafter referred to together or separately as the "Products") and, on the other hand, to the sale of the service under which FLANEURZ adapts the pair of shoes provided by the Customer, subject to eligibility for the rolling frame (hereinafter referred to as the "Custom Service").


The purpose of these general terms and conditions of sale (the "GTC") is to define the terms and conditions of online sale by FLANEURZ of Products and Services.

The GTC applicable to each Order are those in force on the date of validation of the order to the exclusion of any other condition. FLANEURZ reserves the right to modify them at any time, by publishing a new version on the Site. These T&Cs are available on the Site. They may be supplemented, if necessary, by conditions of use specific to certain Products or Services.

These GTC apply to any Order placed by an adult natural person acting as a consumer. The Client certifies that he is a natural person over 18 years of age, acting for purposes that do not fall within the scope of his commercial, industrial, craft, liberal or agricultural activity. He acknowledges that he has the full capacity to commit himself when he places an Order and undertakes to provide truthful information as to his identity.  

The scope of these GTC expressly excludes persons acting in a professional capacity, i.e. natural or legal persons, public or private, acting for purposes relating to their commercial, industrial, craft or agricultural activity, including if they act in the name or on behalf of another professional. 2. Conclusion of the contract online


2.1 Validation and ordering process

To order a Product or Custom Service, the Customer must follow one by one the steps provided for this purpose on the Site. The Customer must provide his contact details for delivery and invoicing. To this end, he must complete all the fields marked as mandatory in the form provided. The Client guarantees that all the information it provides is accurate.


2.2  Order confirmation

At the end of his order, the Customer receives by email a confirmation of his order. FLANEURZ reserves the right to refuse an Order for any legitimate reason.

 The Customer must ensure that the contact details he provided when placing his order or updating his Account are correct and that they allow him to receive the email confirming his order. In the absence of receipt of the latter, the Customer must contact FLANEURZ at the coordinates [email protected] for any Flaneurz order and [email protected] any Slades order.[email protected][email protected]


2.3 Regarding the Custom Service

(i)The Customer's attention is drawn to the fact that only pairs of new shoes corresponding to the criteria described on the product page are eligible for the Custom Service;

(ii)The Customer sends, via the Site, to FLANEURZ, for validation, a photo or a hypertext link of the chosen model then pays for his order via the payment interface.

(iii) FLANEURZ, upon receipt of this information

a. The model of the pair of shoes chosen by the Client is valid a priori. The Customer sends the pair of shoes to FLANEURZ at his own expense, following the procedure indicated;

b. Either does not validate the pair of shoes model chosen by the Customer. The latter is invited, at his or her choice, to make a new model proposal or to submit a request for reimbursement. .

(iv) The Client sends the pair of shoes at their own expense, risk, and peril, and it is their responsibility to take all usual precautions when sending it, particularly in choosing the carrier and tracking the package.

(v) Upon receipt, FLANEURZ carries out various checks to validate the feasibility of the Custom Service on the pair of shoes. In the event that it is physically and/or technically impossible to make the modifications to the pair of shoes, FLANEURZ shall inform the Customer without delay by e-mail.

(vi) As part of the relocation of its production, FLANEURZ reserves the right to transfer your pair of CUSTOM shoes to Fontaine, our new production facility. All pairs of shoes received after January 27th 2023 will be transferred to 7 Rue de L'arcelle, 38600 Fontaine.

At its discretion, the Client may decide :

a) Cancel the order: FLANEURZ will refund the Customer the amount of the order less the return shipping costs, which remain the responsibility of the Customer;

b) Submit another pair of shoes for validation. With its authorization and subject to the eligibility of the model, FLANEURZ may propose to the Customer to return in the same package the rejected pair of shoes and the modified pair of shoes. In this case, FLANEURZ will be responsible for the shipping costs. 

3. Product Specification and Availability


3.1 Product Specifications

Before placing any online order and in accordance with the provisions of Article L111-1 of the Consumer Code, the Customer can review the characteristics of each Product on the Site. Each Product offered for sale online is described as accurately as possible.

FLANEURZ strives to publish photographic representations on the Site that are as faithful as possible to the Products. However, it is possible that the Client's perception of a Product's photograph does not exactly correspond to the Product itself, which the Client acknowledges and accepts. Consequently, the photographs illustrating the Products do not constitute a contractual document and have only informative and indicative value and cannot engage the liability of FLANEURZ.

In particular, FLANEURZ cannot be held responsible for any issues related to color, size, or comfort of the shoe.

The Client acknowledges having taken note of the characteristics, particularly technical ones, and the constraints of each Product, as well as, if applicable, the outcome resulting from the Custom Service, prior to placing the order. He is solely responsible for the use he will make of the Product.

The customer's attention is drawn to the fact that FLANEURZ does not guarantee the waterproofness of modified shoes.

FLANEURZ provides its Clients with a user guide for the Products. It is the Client's responsibility to familiarize themselves with it and to comply with it.

The Client is prohibited from modifying the ordered goods unless they assume full responsibility in the event of an accident or malfunction.


3.2 Availability of Products and Services

The product offers on the Site are valid within the limits of available stock. This availability of products is usually indicated on the specific product page. However, adding a product to the cart does not guarantee the availability of the product. In the event that a product becomes unavailable after the Customer's order has been confirmed, FLANEURZ will inform them immediately by email and will contact the Customer to offer another product. If the proposal is not suitable for the Customer, the order will be canceled, and FLANEURZ will proceed to refund any amount paid for the order. However, if the order contains other products besides the one that has become unavailable, the order for those other products will remain valid.

4. Price & payment terms


4.1 Price

The price of each Product and Service is indicated on the descriptive page of the Product or Service. The price is stated in Euros, including all taxes, excluding customs duties and shipping fees. FLANEURZ reserves the right to change the prices of the Products at any time, in accordance with applicable legislation.

For all products shipped outside the European Union and/or overseas territories, the price is calculated excluding taxes on the invoice. Customs duties or other local taxes or import duties or state taxes may be applicable. They will be entirely the responsibility of the Client and fall under their responsibility (declarations, payment to the competent authorities, etc.). FLANEURZ encourages the Client to inquire about these aspects with the relevant local authorities.

The ordered products are billed based on the price in effect on the site at the time of order confirmation.


4.2 Payment Terms

The payment of the total price of the Order must be made immediately after the Order is confirmed.

The Client guarantees to FLANEURZ that they have the necessary authorizations to use the chosen payment method.

FLANEURZ reserves the right to suspend or cancel any order and/or delivery in the event of non-payment of any amount due by the Client, in the case of a payment incident, or in the event of fraud or attempted fraud related to the use of the Site.

Gift vouchers, gift cards, and/or promotional codes issued by FLANEURZ can be used to pay for all or part of the Order. Promotional codes are valid for one-time use only.

5. Delivery of products


5.1 Delivery Methods

Shipping and delivery fees are offered to Customers for any order of €350/$390 or more. Below this amount, the Customer is responsible for shipping costs. The corresponding delivery fees are provided to the Customer at the time of their order, once the delivery address is entered. The Customer must provide all necessary information for the effective delivery of their order according to this method.


5.2 Delivery time

Once the package is shipped, FLANEURZ provides a tracking number for the package. It is the Client's responsibility to carefully check the information provided for delivery. Delivery takes an average of 10 business days in France.


5.3 Reception

Upon receipt of the Product, the Customer agrees to verify that the Product is complete and undamaged. In the event of any discrepancies, it is the Customer's responsibility to file a claim with the carrier within the time limits required by their general sales conditions. Any reservations must be noted on the delivery slip.

6. Right of withdrawal - exchanges - returns


6.1 On the Products

The Client must comply with the following conditions to exchange/return their Flaneurz:

/ Only collection pairs can be returned or exchanged. In accordance with the provisions of Article L221-28 3° of the Consumer Code, the Customer expressly acknowledges that the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised on the pair of shoes provided by them and customized according to their specifications as part of the Custom service ordered on the Site.

In the event that the Client chooses to have the pair of shoes they wish to customize delivered directly from the merchant site to FLANEURZ, the Client expressly waives their right of withdrawal from the merchant site.

/ The Customer must submit their request for an exchange/return to our customer service, which will review their request and provide them with the return label or shipping instructions.​

/ Our agents will ask for a set of 4 high-quality photos of the shoes (front view, top view, side view, and bottom view of the shoe), 4 photos of the rolling parts (top view of the plate, bottom view of the wheels, left side and right side of the entire rolling base), as well as a photo of the Flaneurz box to confirm the exchange or return.

/ After the validation by our agents, the Client must return their Flaneurz in their original packaging (Flaneurz box) including: the shoes, the rolling parts, the unlocking key, the user guide, and their invoice. We recommend that the Client use the box in which the pack was packaged to return it to us.

/ The shoes and the rolling parts must show no signs of wear (not worn outdoors).

The Client has fourteen (14) days after receiving their Flaneurz to request an exchange or return, without having to provide reasons or pay penalties, except for the return shipping costs, which remain their responsibility and must be paid by them. The Client wishing to make a return must contact FLANEURZ at the contact details mentioned on the Site, before the expiration of the above-mentioned period, the withdrawal form made available on the Site

As soon as the Customer chooses to refund their order, they must return to FLANEURZ, in addition to the Product, if applicable, all gifts that have been given to them by FLANEURZ in connection with this order as part of a promotional operation.

As part of the exchange, the Customer must select a new Product according to the conditions and terms applicable to the Products as specified in these General Terms and Conditions. Once the package arrives at the Flânerie, an agent will conduct a quality check to validate the return and proceed with the exchange or refund.

Our team reserves the right to refuse the exchange/refund if the return criteria are not met: the pair of Flaneurz must then be returned at the Client's expense.

Our team has a period of 14 days* to process the return of a package and proceed with the exchange or refund.​


6.2 On Slades products

The Client must comply with the following conditions to exchange/return their Slades:

/ The Customer must submit their request for an exchange/return to our customer service, which will review their request and provide them with the return label or shipping instructions.​

/ Our agents will ask for a set of 4 high-quality photos of the shoes (front view, top view, side view, and bottom view of the shoe), 4 photos of the rolling bases (top view of the plate, bottom view of the wheels, left side and right side of the entire rolling base), as well as a photo of the Slades box to confirm the exchange or return.

/ After our agents' validation, the Client must return their complete Slades pack in the original packaging (SLADES box) including: the shoes, the rolling bases, the release key, the paper surrounding the pair of shoes, as well as the cardboard wedge with the Welcome card. We recommend that the Client use the box in which the pack was packaged to return it to us.

/ The shoes and rolling bases must show no signs of wear (not worn outdoors).

The Client has fourteen (14) days after receiving their Slades to request an exchange or a return.

Once the package arrives at the Factory, an agent will conduct a quality check to validate the return and proceed with the exchange or refund.

Our team reserves the right to refuse the exchange/refund if the return criteria are not met: the Slades pack must then be shipped back at the Customer's expense.

Our team has a period of 14 days* to process the return of a package and proceed with the exchange or refund.​

Any item can only be exchanged for an item of equal value.

7. Guarantees


The Client benefits from the legal guarantees of conformity and hidden defects for any Product purchased from FLANEURZ.

In the event that the Client finds that the Product has a defect, they must inform FLANEURZ as soon as possible using the contact information provided on the Site.

FLANEURZ will arrange the return details with the carrier of its choice, of which it will inform the Client. FLANEURZ will cover the costs of this return.

Under the warranty, the Products must be returned to FLANEURZ in their original packaging. They must be accompanied by a copy of the corresponding purchase invoice.

FLANEURZ will proceed with the correction of the defect. In the event that the correction of the defect is not possible, FLANEURZ will offer the Client a replacement of the Product if it is available. Otherwise, FLANEURZ will refund the Client the full price paid for this Product and will send the Client a return label, as soon as possible and no later than fourteen (14) days from the date on which FLANEURZ has informed them of the impossibility of replacing the Product.

It is reminded that, when acting under the legal warranty of conformity, any consumer:

  • Has a period of two years from the delivery of the Product to take action
  • May choose between the repair or replacement of the Product, subject to the cost conditions set forth in Article L. 211-9 of the Consumer Code
  • Is exempt from providing proof of the existence of the Product's lack of conformity during the twenty-four months following its delivery.

However, FLANEURZ may not proceed according to the Client's choice if that choice results in a clearly disproportionate cost compared to the other option, taking into account the value of the Product or the significance of the defect.

Every consumer may also decide to invoke the warranty against hidden defects of the sold item as defined in Article 1641 of the Civil Code. In this case, they can choose between the cancellation of the sale or a reduction in the sale price in accordance with Article 1644 of the Civil Code.

Damages resulting from are not covered by the warranty:

  • Non-compliance with the user guide and improper use. The shoes of the "Slades" product are not designed to withstand abrasion. Therefore, Flaneurz disclaims any warranty in this regard.
  • From negligent, inappropriate, or abusive use or damage caused by poor maintenance
  • From normal wear and tear of the Product
  • From a violent force impact or intentional degradation
  • Technical modification made by the user.

8. Protection of personal data


As part of the business relationship, FLANEURZ, as the data controller, collects a certain number of mandatory personal data (including, in particular, name, first name, delivery address, etc., which are indicated by an asterisk) that are absolutely necessary for processing the Order, managing the business relationship, generating statistics, and complying with FLANEURZ's legal and regulatory obligations. This data is retained for 5 years from the end of the Contract.

The Client's failure to provide this information would result in the inability to process their Order.

This data is intended for internal use by FLANEURZ but may be shared with companies that contribute to the execution of the service, including those responsible for delivering the Products or processing payments. Regarding this personal data, the Client has several rights: the right to access personal data concerning them; the right to rectification and deletion if the personal data is inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, outdated, or if the collection, use, communication, and retention of certain data is prohibited; the right to limit the processing of data, provided that this request is duly justified and does not prevent FLANEURZ from fulfilling its regulatory and legal obligations; the right to object to the processing of data (notably in the case of processing for commercial prospecting); the right to issue post-mortem directives regarding the retention, deletion, and communication of your personal data; the right to withdraw consent for certain processing (processing carried out before the withdrawal of consent remains lawful); the right to data portability; the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL. To exercise these rights, the Client can send a request to FLANEURZ via a letter addressed to FLANEURZ at the address indicated on the website. The request must include the Client's email address, their first and last names, postal address, and must be accompanied by a copy of their identification document (front and back). A response will be sent within one month from the receipt of the request.

9. Intellectual Property Rights


The sale of Products and Services on the FLANEURZ site does not result in any transfer of intellectual property rights over the Products and Services sold. Trademarks, domain names, products, software, images, videos, texts, or more generally any information subject to intellectual property rights are and remain the exclusive property of FLANEURZ. No transfer of intellectual property rights is made through these General Terms and Conditions.

The Client authorizes FLANEURZ to publish photographs of the customized pair of shoes on the Site.

10. Force majeure


FLANEURZ shall not be held responsible for any failure to fulfill its obligations under these terms in the event of a fortuitous event or force majeure that prevents execution. FLANEURZ will notify the client of the occurrence of such an event as soon as possible.

11. Exclusion - limits of liability


FLANEURZ shall not be held responsible in any case for losses or damages resulting from inappropriate use of the Product(s) by the Client, including but not limited to any unauthorized modification or alteration of the Product(s) by FLANEURZ.

The Client is solely responsible for the use they make of the Product.

In the event of irreversible damage caused by FLANEURZ to the pair of shoes sent by the Client as part of the Custom Service, rendering them unfit for use, FLANEURZ's liability is limited exclusively to refunding the Client for the said pair of shoes at the purchase price upon presentation of the purchase invoice. In this context, FLANEURZ may offer the Client a model from its catalog with the same characteristics.

Flaneurz provides products solely for domestic and private use. Therefore, Flaneurz is not responsible for any commercial losses or damages.

12. Suspension - account termination


FLANEURZ reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Client's account that violates the provisions of the General Terms and Conditions, or generally applicable legal provisions, without prejudice to any damages that FLANEURZ may seek. Any person whose account has been suspended or closed will not be able to place orders or create a new account on the Site without prior authorization from FLANEURZ.

13. Invalidity and Modification of the General Terms and Conditions


If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is found to be null and void, it shall be deemed unwritten, but this shall not affect the validity of the remaining contractual provisions.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution


These General Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In case of any difficulties, customer service is at your disposal to find an amicable solution.

If no solution is found with customer service, the Client has the option to resort to a consumer mediator free of charge in accordance with articles L152-1 and following of the Consumer Code.

The Client also has the option to file a complaint through the online dispute resolution platform (referred to as the "ODR" platform) accessible via the link below:https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.home.chooseLanguage

If the appointment of the mediator or the mediation itself fails, the most diligent party may bring the matter before the competent court. French courts will have exclusive jurisdiction.

15. Orders for "Slades" products


The "Slades" products are currently available for order; however, certain sizes have a specific delivery time that can be checked on the product page based on the sizes.

Les produits « Slades » seront tous expédiés par Flaneurz France depuis Colombelles, 22 Rue Jean Monnet, 14460.

16. Extended Producer Responsibility


FLANEURZ contributes to the financing of the recycling of the items it puts on the market, in accordance with the legislation. In this regard, FLANEURZ is registered with the organization Ecologic under the unique identifier FR311466_13VXQA.
