ROLLER PARTY
Following the enthusiasm of the first edition in 2015, which brought together a large number of roller dance enthusiasts, the ONWHEELZ ROLLER PARTY as part of FREESTYLE festival 2016 makes its return to La Grande Halle de la Villette...
The opportunity for you to participate in several activities centered around roller skating (roller dance classes, nighttime strolls set to urban music in the streets of Paris, roller parties) as well as to attend other disciplines that combine dance and sport (hip-hop, street art, gliding, freestyle balloon, tricks…).
Dancers and crews from around the world will also be part of the event.
For the organization of the festival, La Villette has once again partnered with the collective THE HAND :young artists and professional creators who in the spring of 2011 decided to invest in the former nightclub "La Main Jaune," which had been abandoned for 10 years, to restore it and launch a creative hub as well as two underground roller parties.
The Festival will kick off on Friday the 9th with a roller clubbing night and will conclude on Sunday, December 11th with the ONWHEELZ ROLLER PARTY, the largest temporary roller rink in France! It is also the last and biggest of the three nights of the FREESTYLE festival, with SKATEXPRESS.
On this occasion, the Clique Flaneurz, a partner of the event, will present a video tracing the history of roller skating. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, come join us on the rink and learn how to skate. A fun and festive atmosphere is guaranteed!
