As we bid farewell to 2023, let’s take a moment to reflect on the journey of Flaneurz, the innovative company of detachable skates that has transformed the world of urban mobility and fashion.

Always more freedom, madness, novelty, and creativity in our collections - Nike, Puma, Veja, Karl Kani, Adidas, Zespà, New Balance, etc... - we have pushed our limits to meet the expectations of the greatest number. A snapshot of some highlights of the year.

/NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTION

The year began with the unveiling by Flaneurz of its collection of detachable skates "Château Urbain”. The Team has surrounded itself with the best - photographer Koria and the production agency Resilience - to create the perfect blend of skating, contemporary dance, and urban culture, thus highlighting these new skate models. A complete change in artistic direction with the arrival of new talents in-house, who have decided to bring back to the heart of the brand, street culture, irreverence, and a touch of self-deprecation.

With the same determination, the collection “Garage” captured the chase of four skaters and a drone in an abandoned parking lot, to highlight the compatibility of Flaneurz skates with practitioners from disciplines such as slalom, derby, freestyle, and chop'n'shuffle.

/MONTHLY DROPS

The quest for renewal continued with the orchestration of monthly Drops by the Team. A new format for launching our detachable rollers to spread the practice of quad roller skating to all corners of the world. A clear intention to provide roller shoe models more regularly, to make more sizes available, to involve our brand representatives more, to grow our skating community, and to share our passion for gliding.. 

From Madrid to Brisbane, passing through Aruba, New York, London, and Paris, our influencers- Linda Zhu_8, The_Stuttering_skater, Dr.lia.b, Peachyskaterr, Onyx.tbh, rueranpai,  kimmygrace, mkstreet10, unseen_kunoichi, Thesunskater, Libbywilliams et seebeychi have proven that Flaneurz detachable skates are essential for taking ownership of the city.

The new models of detachable skates remain trendy, high-performing, and clearly designed to evolve the way we move, which continues to attract technology enthusiasts and skating fans.

/FLANEURZ PRODUCTION IS MOVING TO GRENOBLE

The year 2023 also saw the relocation of the Flaneurz skate production line, originally based in Pantin, to the Factory in Grenoble, a place historically associated with the production of Slades roller shoes.

Slades by Flaneurz needs no introduction, created in 2021 to offer an alternative solution for detachable roller skates, and the S-QUAD has captivated many beginner and experienced skaters around the world.

This strategic decision has strengthened the compatibility between the two brands by capitalizing on technical and human resources, ultimately rethinking the product offerings available for sale.

/KNOW-HOW AND COLLABORATION

Flaneurz has announced a strategic partnership with Zespà, a sustainable fashion brand, thus marking its commitment to environmental responsibility. This collaboration has resulted in a limited edition line of eco-friendly skates made from recycled materials, which aligns with Flaneurz's commitment to style and sustainability.

There was also the production of a limited series for Adidas x Flippers, partners with whom we had previously collaborated, for the launch at Rockefeller Center in New York of a range of clothing and skates. The Supply and Production teams value our technology, know how to adapt to the needs of our clients, and are proactive in all partnerships. Their growing number among prestigious brands demonstrates the recognition of Flaneurz's expertise in the field of detachable rollers.

/FESTIAL MEETING IN PARIS

Organized by the Flaneurz Roller Skating Club, the second edition of RDV In Paris, the festival for skaters, was a great success thanks to a high-quality program and the enthusiasm of many volunteers. Some numbers? Over 800 festival-goers, 11 workshops and introductory classes for roller and street dance, 9 international DJs to light up the dancefloor at 5 Roller Parties, 2 roller excursions, and 1 conference on the history of hip-hop and roller culture!

Throughout the year, through its association, Flaneurz is committed to being present when called upon to promote the community and entrepreneurial projects implemented in the local environment.

/OTHER EVENTS AROUND THE WORLD

The sales team has worked tirelessly to give visibility to our products by being present at numerous events, developing our network of resellers for Slades, and finalizing strategic partnerships for the sustainability of the company.

Thus, this year for the first time, our brands Flaneurz and Slades were present at the World Roller Derby Convention, RollerCon, which took place in Las Vegas.

Founded in 2005, RollerCon is a five-day convention held annually in Las Vegas for members of the roller derby community. Nearly 5,000 visitors and seventy exhibitors gathered for this international event, where Flaneurz showcased its distribution offerings for professionals.. 

Official partner of Skate Love Barcelona, the international meeting for dance on skates enthusiasts, it was another opportunity for us to showcase our detachable rollers as well as urban practice during a Masterclass on urban movement techniques.

We are constantly working to develop our product range, and the transformation of sneakers with visible air bubbles, which has been underway for a long time, was confirmed this year.

/A COLLECTIVE SUCCESS

Many achievements, successful developments thanks to the involvement of all departments - Supply, Production, Digital Marketing, Customer Relations, Product, IT, and Communications - and still much to do, so we are eager to continue the adventure.
