/THE BEST ROLLER SKATING SPOTS TO TAKE A WALK IN LONDON

 

Also known as the 'National Park' capital, London offered several public gardens and parks perfectly maintained. 8 of them belong to the Crown, including Hyde Park and Regent's Park.

/HYDE PARK
The 140 hectares park provides an ideal space for fun and skating. Serpentine Road, along the artificial Serpentine Lake, is the easiest place to skate. The wide lanes are ideal for beginners. For the more experienced, the Serpentine Road invites you to skate under the gaze of the many animals present.

There are Friday rides at 8pm with London Friday Night Skates from Wellington Arch to Hyde Park Corner. This ride is best for skaters who are already comfortable on their wheels. 

You can also join the Sunday Stroll on Sundays. This ride leaves Serpentine Road at 2pm for a more relaxed skate. Schedules may vary according to weather conditions so please do check updated information on LFNS website.

 

/REGENT’S PARK
The park is located in North London next to the Zoo. It is resplendent, with its 30,000 flowers. Many activities are organized there: sports, theater or music... Skates are welcome in this unique space. Skate along the canal and experience the benefits of roller skate.

 

/BATTERSEA PARK
In the south of London, along the Thames, lies Battersea Park. 80 hectares where skaters can slalom between the many fountains. Children's areas (playground, bandstand, pedal boats, climbing walls, and even a zoo: Battersea Park Children's Zoo) make the park ideal for enjoying a walk with friends or family. Take a break from walking and get back to sliding in seconds with your detachable roller skates to enjoy the park.

/THE BEST ROLLERS PARTY SPOTS IN LONDON

/HARROW SK8CITY 
Located in Harrow in a multi-purpose hall, skaters meet once a month with music. 1000 square meters of wooden track, ideal for skating, in a afro carribean atmosphere. A DJ animates the evenings from 10pm to 2am. We advise you to come and park in the free car park and follow SK8 City London on Facebook and Instagram to be alerted of future rollers parties.

 

/ROLLERNATION
Roller disco means Roller Nation. In the Tottenham district, this nightclub welcomes skaters who want to get away from it all several nights a week. For all types of occasions, come and roll in this space. The music style varies from night to night and skates can be hired on site. Follow Roller Nation on Instagram and Facebook to book your place. 

Are you a beginner? Roller Nation organizes lessons that you can book on their website RollerNation. 

Discover RollOut, the party dedicated to the roller community every Sunday evening from 7pm to midnight

The most: Its restaurant-bar with an outdoor terrace allows you to refresh yourself between two dances.

 

/FIX8 
Want to combine family and community spirit? Head to the Wembley area at Fix8. No matter what your level, the goal is to meet the community. In 2012, a night created by skaters for skaters was established. Today, this venue has a growing community. To free oneself, to have fun, to express oneself in one's skating register are the key words. Here too, you can bring your own skates or rent them on the spot.

/HYDE PARK & BETHNAL PARK
Sunday is the day to be there. If the weather is good you can be sure to find the roller skating community through various activities. Roller skating lessons, slalom and dancing put on a show for walkers. The Serpentine Road in Hyde Park has been a gathering place for 30 years, with many enthusiasts coming to express their roller skating stories and techniques. Bethnal Park is home to a younger demographic looking to hone their skills and show off their style to curious fans.

 

/NORTH GREENWICH
In this modern and lively area, you can also find the roller skating community. In East London, with a breathtaking view of the Thames, there are many roller skating spots waiting for you. Just follow The Tide, a 5km long linear park surrounding the peninsula. Places to meditate and exhibitions of emerging artists await you. /CLAPHAM COMMON SKATEPARK
Very few skate parks are suitable for roller skating, with the exception of Clapham Commun Skatepark, which is a very good roller skating spot. Join the skating community in this place that offers many possibilities: large smooth surfaces for beginners, obstacles for challenging tricks. You can really have fun and meet the community.

 

London is full of possibilities and has many assets to live its passion of roller skating. Each place has its own history and skaters. We suggest you let yourself slide and go skating wherever you want in whatever way you want.
