2020 retrospective / Let's go to 2021!
Our first clothing line, new pairs of detachable skates, exciting partnerships, moving from La Courneuve to Pantin ... There were many exciting events this year. While the Clique is growing a little more each day, let's look back together on the developments and new products that have shaped Flaneurz in 2020.
/PRODUCT RELEASE
Since January 2020, it is available in our store and in our e-shop. It includes a canvas bag, a t-shirt and a sweatshirt. Find our emblematic navy blue and a pair of Flaneurz embroidered on the pieces or silkscreened on the bag. It is ideal to please your loved ones while giving them the freedom to choose their favorite detachable skates. Our gift card comes in two forms: the physical version, delivered within a week, and the e-card for the most impatient. All the lucky recipient has to do is follow these few steps to receive their gift.
/FOUR NEW CAMPAIGNS
Up until 2019, we used to present two collections a year. In 2020, we increased to four, one per season. Each collection introduces four new models of detachable skates, adaptable to our three rolling part series (First, Iconic, Premium). If you are subscribed to our newsletter, you will be able to purchase these pairs exclusively one week in advance.
Each campaign shows you a collection and its own universe through a video and a lookbook. Our 2020 campaigns are immortalized by Amaury Cibot and Carré Rond Vision, and with the help of Stefano Toscano and Anthony Finocchiaro for the winter campaign.
Mischievous, this collection welcomes the first rays of Parisian sunshine, letting everyone express their personality from morning to sunday. We fell in love with the Veja V-10, as well as the emblematic Vans and Nike models born in the 80s.

Re-discover here a campaign that was carried out in our future facilities before the renovation. It embodies the urge to move forward, to stand up stronger, more alive than ever. It is a campaign with two Veja and two Adidas Court Vantage worn by dancers of the Inneficient company.

The Flaneurz community is growing and we are delighted that you are sharing your experience on the social media. Personalities have naturally chosen our detachable skates and make the brand shine internationally. Here are a few of them:
Indy Jamma Jones is an American skater known for her beginner tutorials and vlogs. She tried our detachable skates, Nike Air Force 1 - Black on an Iconic Black rolling part, and was seduced by our concept.
This skater has perfectly integrated our detachable skates into her colorful and vintage world. On her TikTok (more than a million views), you'll see her rolling down the streets of Los Angeles equipped with her Custom Nike Cortez pair on a Premium rolling part series.
Damon Dominique shares his adventures and his vision of the world on YouTube, especially his perception of France as an American. Determined to progress in roller dance, you will see him swing his hips on his Custom Puma X Rhude pair equipped with the Iconic series.
Her smile and energy will motivate you for the day. A former dancer, she took up roller skating to continue to express herself creatively. She rolls in Nike Air Force 1 - White with the Premium series.
/FLANEURZ BRAND
/THE CLIQUE
The Flaneurz Team extended their web influence by creating a Tik Tok account with more than one million likes and ten million views. Since February 18, 2020, we share spontaneous and sometimes exclusive content of Flaneurz detachable skates.
The Team is mindful to be as close as possible to its community, the Clique, especially in this destabilizing period. We have transformed our habits and lifestyle to adapt to the sanitary measures in order to make them less restrictive on a daily basis. Thus, it has been nice exchanging with you during the talks on our Instagram account. We introduced you to our old and new premises in live Q&A about our savoir-faire. It was an honor to make you discover and share the career of Candice Heiden, Marawa and Morgan Weske who are amazing roller skaters. The workshops brightened your lockdown with, among others, roller dance classes by Jean-Marc Gravier and a roller fitness class by Tinuke. Finally, you learned more about our product in our FOCUS.
/THE IMAGE
Throughout the year, we applied our visual brand identity to all our communication and media, assuring sharp, minimalist and recognizable content. To make your Flaneurz experience more immersive and exciting, we dynamized our communication by multiplying visual content such as videos, photography, and even animation. For example, we released a tutorial that teaches you how to clip and unclip your Flaneurz detachable skates. Ultimately, redesigning our website homepage and savoir-faire page were major projects of 2020.
/THE FLÂNERIE
Moving in July from La Courneuve to the Flânerie in Pantin was a milestone. It has met our need for more space to produce your orders and welcome a growing team. The Flânerie includes two spaces: the Sk8Lab and the boutique. The Sk8Lab houses the production workshop and our offices. It is the place where our products are designed and manufactured, and where the company is managed. Since December 2nd, we have opened to the public our first permanent store. In addition to being able to try and buy your detachable skates, you will have access to exclusive pairs and you will discover our museum.

/PRODUCTION
Moving has allowed us to rethink the workflow in the Sk8Lab. We improved the layout of the workshop and invested in new machines. In the long run, we want to reduce production times as much as possible and hand over your Flaneurz detachable skates to the transporters as soon as possible. Moreover, your feedback remains our first source of evolution. We are constantly thinking about how to improve our product.
If you ordered this year, you may have faced a delivery delay. With the COVID-19 epidemic, soft transport (bicycle, roller skates, kick scooters, ...) has developed with the unfortunate consequence of a worldwide shortage of spare parts. We have been affected by a stock-out of plates as well as wheels from our suppliers. We hope you can understand this delay. Nevertheless, be assure that we have done our best to listen to you and fulfill your order as soon as possible.

/INTERVIEWS OF THE YEAR
In the French podcast produced by In Seine Saint-Denis, Florian Gravier takes you on a tour of the Flânerie. You can discover his story which explains our choice to stay in Seine Saint-Denis. While those who succeed often leave the lower class neighborhoods, we felt it was important to participate in the activity and to keep the short circuit set up.

In April, Flaneurz made the front page of Odyssées d'Entrepreneurs, a French monthly magazine that explores entrepreneurial reality. Florian explains in detail the beginnings of Flaneurz, how the idea was born and the path taken to implement it.

The Juste Mieux interview, a 100% video and a 100% positive media that makes you want to go green, is heartwarming. Florian shares some unexpected anecdotes, such as the confiscation of his skates by the police in Venice, which led him to start the adventure and co-found Flaneurz, "a company that makes dreams come true".
